Netsweeper

Netsweeper is a premier web content filtering company. Since 1999 Netsweeper has been protecting corporations, schools, and government institutions from unapproved web surfing, web-based viruses, and lawsuits steming from inappropriate content.

Netsweeper is unique in that it has developed its own Artificial Intelligence system that proactively sweeps the Internet categorizing and classifying webpages and content in addition to the standard list method.

Granular Categorization
Choose from over 70 categories of web filtering, including Pornography, Gambling, Job Search, Criminal Skills, and Humor. Moreover, customized Whitelists and Blacklists can be created to meet the specific filtering polices of the organization.

Web-Based Administration
The web-based administration of the solution gives enterprises the ability to manage the Filtering solution and its policies anytime and anywhere. Set time and day control access policies. Both network wide and individual user control is available.

Comprehensive Reporting
With the Netsweeper Reporter included with the filtering solution, enterprise corporations have the ability to track, view and report on Internet activities within the organization. Reports can be exported to standard programs including Crystal Reports and Excel. Example reports include: Top Allows Sites, Top Denied Sites, Top Users, etc.

SourceFire

SourceFire is the developer of the most widely used IDS system on the planet, Snort. Since the development of Snort the company has commercialized its solutions in order to improve its signature library and enable faster delivery of the latest rule sets when new hack attempts and viruses are released. Founded in 2001 SourceFire has become a world leader in intrusion prevention, transforming the way organizations manage and minimize network security risks and threats.

Intrusion Prevention
Greatly reduce false positives and negatives through SourceFire's award-winning intrusion detection engine and by correlating security events with threat, endpoint and network intelligence. Today more than 80% of the Fortune 100 and more than half of the Fortune 500 leverage SourceFire's technology to protect corporate assets and minimize network security risks.

Vulnerability Assesment
Organizations face potential liability by allowing open access to the Internet, enable unwanted software downloads, and enhance the odds of being infected by network born viruses. The SourceFire IDS/AV engine built into the XOS Edge appliance automatically scans most Internet traffic in order to quickly identify potential issues, and block the offending nodes automatically if enabled.

Network Anti-Virus (CAValier)
By utilizing SourceFire's 150,000 signature database the XOS Edge appliance and it's Windows-based anti-virus client CAValier are able to detect network-based threats and in the case of the CAValier client, automatically remove the threat and place it in quarantine. In recent tests against 10 other anti-virus solutions, the SourceFire anti-malware engine was one of the three solutions that were able to detect 100% of the viruses generated in the testing.
