Anti-Virus Client
CAValier is a Windows-based anti-virus client which can detect and eliminate network viruses on individual computers/PCs. This client is designed to operate within network environments protected by XRoads Networks Edge appliances.
Overview
Latest Version
Download the latest version of the Cavalier anti-virus client from SourceFire here (for Edge appliance users only). This will over-right the original Cavalier client in exchange for the latest anti-virus engine by SourceFire.
Signature Updates
XRoads Networks has partnered with SourceFire, one of the top Internet security companies. SourceFire provides the CAValier clients with automated daily signature updates to ensure the most up-to-date protection.
NOTE: XRoads Network recommends that all users of the anti-virus clients also upgrade their Edge appliances to support SourceFire's enterprise class IDS/anti-virus updates.
Integration
The CAValier client integrates with the Edge appliances by automatically sending virus alerts to the Edge which can then generate email alerts and/or reports for the network administrator. This allows the administrator to view rollup virus reports to see which systems are getting infected and by which viruses.
Enter the IP address of the Edge appliance on the network so that virus alerts can be included in centralized security reports.
Enter the license key obtained from XRoads Networks in order to receive anti-virus client support. By default the clients are offered FREE of charge to Edge appliance users with no support from XRoads Networks.
